テストステロンエナンセートは、アンドロゲンであるテストステロンの遅延作用型注射剤です。テストステロンは男性の主要な同化ホルモンであり、筋肉量と筋力の強力な増加を促進するその効果から、多くのアスリートに支持されています。
エストロゲン様副作用：
テストステロンエナント酸は体内でエストロゲン様作用を示します。アロマターゼ（エストロゲン合成酵素）はテストステロンの代謝に関与しています。エストロゲンレベルの上昇は、水分貯留の増加、体脂肪の増加、女性化乳房などの副作用を引き起こす可能性があります。
テストステロンエナント酸エステルは、中程度のエストロゲン作用を持つステロイドと考えられています。エストロゲン作用による副作用を防ぐため、抗エストロゲン剤が必要となる場合があります。
エストロゲンの副作用は用量依存的に発生し、高用量（通常の治療レベルを超える）では抗エストロゲン薬またはアロマターゼ阻害剤の併用が必要になる可能性が高くなります。
アンドロゲンの副作用
テストステロンは男性の主要なアンドロゲンです。テストステロン値の上昇は、脂性肌、ニキビ、体毛や顔の毛の増加などのアンドロゲンの副作用を引き起こす可能性があります。
アナボリック/アンドロゲンステロイドも男性型脱毛症を悪化させる可能性があります。
女性は、特にテストステロンなどの強力なアンドロゲンを服用している場合、アナボリックステロイド／アンドロゲンステロイドの潜在的な男性化作用を経験することがあります。これには、声の低音化、月経不順、肌の質感の変化、ひげの成長、クリトリスの肥大などが含まれる場合があります。
肝毒性の副作用
テストステロンエナント酸エステルには肝毒性作用がないため、肝毒性が生じる可能性は低いです。
心血管系の副作用
アナボリックステロイド／アンドロゲンステロイドは血清コレステロールに有害な影響を及ぼす可能性があります。具体的には、HDL（善玉）コレステロール値を低下させ、LDL（悪玉）コレステロール値を上昇させる傾向があります。その結果、HDLコレステロールからLDLコレステロールへのコレステロールバランスが変化し、動脈硬化のリスクが高まる可能性があります。
The relative effects of anabolic/androgenic steroids on serum lipids depend on the dose, route of administration (oral vs. injectable), type of steroid (aromatizable or nonaromatizable), and level of tolerance to hepatic metabolism. Anabolic/androgenic steroids also have adverse effects on blood pressure and triglycerides, reduce endothelial relaxation, and left ventricular hypertrophy may develop, all of which may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and myocardial infarction.
Testosterone enanthate tends to have a more dramatic effect on cardiovascular risk factors than synthetic steroids. This is due in part to its openness to metabolism by the liver, which results in less impact on hepatic management of cholesterol. The aromatization of testosterone to estradiol also helps to reduce the adverse effects of androgens on serum lipids.
Because of the positive effects of estrogens on serum lipids, aromatase inhibitors are preferred by those concerned about cardiovascular health, as they provide a partial estrogenic action in the liver.
To reduce cardiovascular strain, it is recommended to maintain an active cardiovascular exercise program and to minimize intake of saturated fats, cholesterol, and simple carbohydrates at all times during active steroid administration. Supplementation with fish oil and a natural cholesterol/antioxidant formula is also recommended.
Testosterone Suppression
All anabolic/androgenic steroids are expected to suppress endogenous testosterone production. Testosterone is the primary male androgen and provides a strong negative feedback on endogenous testosterone production.
Testosterone-based drugs similarly have a strong effect on the hypothalamic regulation of natural steroid hormones. Without the intervention of a testosterone stimulant, testosterone levels return to normal within 1-4 months of ceasing administration.
Note that long-term hypogonadotropic hypogonadism may be secondary to steroid abuse and will require medical intervention.
Dosage for Men
To treat andropause, the recommended dosage is 50-400mg testosterone enanthate every 2-4 weeks.
Testosterone enanthate, which is active in the body for a longer period of time, is usually injected weekly for muscle building purposes. Usual dosages for physique and performance enhancement purposes range from 300-2000mg per week, taken in cycles of 6-12 weeks. This level is enough for most users to notice an extraordinary increase in muscle size and strength.
Testosterone Enanthate is a highly effective anabolic drug that often has great benefits when used alone. However, it is ultimately very versatile and can be combined with many other anabolic/androgenic steroids to tailor the desired effect.
