What is Turkesterone? ?
Turkesterone is a supplement made from a substance extracted from the plant Ajuga Turkestanica, and is actually a member of the “phytoecdysteroids”, also known as “ecdysterone”, which also include quinoa, spinach, and potatoes.
Turkesterone optimizes mRNA and enhances uptake of substances such as leucine in muscles. In addition, increasing muscle protein synthesis can promote muscle repair and growth and prevent muscle breakdown.
What is ecdysterone?
Ecdysterone is a type of ecdysteroid compound that occurs naturally in some insects and plants, such as spinach. It is primarily taken in supplement form to increase muscle mass and improve athletic performance.
Some studies suggest that it can help people gain lean muscle mass and increase strength and power more easily within about two to three months.
Ecdysterone differs from anabolic androgenic steroids commonly used in bodybuilding, such as Dianabol and Trenbolone, because it does not actually increase hormone levels [1].
However, ecdysterone has powerful muscle-building properties. A Russian scientist conducted numerous experiments in the 1970s to confirm its effects…and the results were shocking. They found that ecdysterone has anabolic effects comparable to the potency of Dianabol, a commonly used powerful oral steroid [2,3].
